It’s pretty rare to see a wooden adornment - so you can imagine my excitement when the owner of Meridian Design reached out and informed me of their store. I was floored! I’ve come to learn that the shop is a fairly new shop (the website reporting establishment in 2019) and there are aspirations for expanding on their designs to include some seriously unique options (gem stones and wood? Wow - that would be amazing!).

The design of this zebrawood ring is a timeless donut design, with all of the smart enhancements you would expect from a veteran enthusiast of adornments. It is finished with a smooth satin sheen. The most important design aspect for comfort, the smoothly radiused inside edge with a radiused bend into the ring’s height, is perfectly done. The ring is slightly taller, which I think works especially well while engorged - you don’t want a short ring making your manhood appear choked or “exploding” out of the ring. Then again, maybe you do… but I prefer a nice balance. What I find most interesting is how the ring looks while worn. I wasn’t expecting it, but while erect, it almost looks like a typical round wire ring.

The dimensions available are limited at this time, given the new shop. Since my goldilocks size is 47.5mm, I opted for the 48mm ring. The delivered adornment had an inside diameter of 1.774" (about 45mm). Given that these are hand made, variation is to be expected. For my member, this is too tight for extended wear but fun for a quick romp. The .395" ring height gives the adornment enough presence while hard to give a great visage (aka: balance!). At first blush, I was concerned I wouldn’t like the flat “landings” on the height of the adornment, but once donned, I think it works quite well by creating some intentional visual separation. The wide .597" band helps augment that commanding presence that natural wood offers while increasing contact surface area ensuring comfort. This design truly feels like a craftsman’s piece worthy of your manhood.

While looking at the available offerings, the zebrawood drew me in. I love the natural sharp contrasts of the wood. The satin finish is nice, and a small tin of beeswax paste was included for upkeep, which is a very thoughtful touch. Interestingly, I somehow totally forgot I already have a ring made of zebrawood, so it was great to be able to compare the two products. I feel confident in saying that I definitely prefer the shape and feel of my new Meridien Design addition over the Broken Lance After Dark option, but the latter does indeed come from a more “neat” piece of zebrawood thanks to all its stripes and striations.

As a new shop, I think Rouen is off to a **fantastic** start. I look forward to where it goes next - gemstones, materials, laquer-like finishes? Who knows - but the future looks good from here!
