I have wanted a Velv’Or ring for a very long time. They’ve been around forever, but for whatever reason I just never pulled the trigger to pick one up. Why? I’m not super sure. I think my main turnoff was that they are plastic 3D printed cock rings but still command a premium price. Having picked up some rings from LeLuv which are decidedly lower quality rings, figured this was a cash grab. Shipping from Europe further raised the price, too.
As an owner of many metal rings and having received a few 3D printed duds before, I suppose I always just figured that 3D printed rings are not all that great. Well, over the years I’ve picked up more 3D printed pieces and some are indeed fantastic quality. In fact, as an avid maker myself, I’m impressed and curious how some of these manufacturers are achieving the awesome finish that they’ve been able to get on these adornments. The JNaja is advertised as the first consumer 3D printed cock ring, which tracks with my memory of when they started hitting the market. What I didn’t realize all these years is the amount of WORK that goes in to making these rings. They are 3D printed in a neutral color and post-process dyed to your color of choice. Aside from the many available colors, they’re available in two finishes: tumbled and polished.
During a long dry spell (no new adornments in the collection), I was browsing (r/CockRingTalk)[https://reddit.com/r/CockRingTalk/] and noticed Jelle had posted a note or two in our community. This was enough to remind me about Velv’Or so I checked out some of the other reddit posts and was very pleased to see how active Jelle is in the community. After a brief messaging back and forth with him, I set out to purchase my first two Velv’Or rings: The JNaja and JNamo.
My polished Vigor Violet colored JNaja arrived a few weeks later. I was immediately struck by the intelligence of the design. Featuring a “tail” common to all Velv’Or rings which presses on your perineum, the JNaja also sports ergonomic contours throughout the whole ring. Like several of my favorite fitting rights do, it curves upwards to hug the shape of your body. The backward curve helps accentuate your member but to further drive the effect home, the JNaja also curves inward from side to side. Some rings have a tendency to obscure your manhood, but not JNaja - your penis is on full display and is accented by the adornment quite well. The curves in all directions are clearly the work of Jelle’s thoughtful process in designing rings. Even the band itself organically twists to follow the contours of the bending adornment. The polished finish is stunning and the Vigor Violet color is exactly the color purple I had hoped for. The design of this finished piece does not strike me anything like other 3D printed rings. It is brilliant.
Because these rings are not perfectly round, you may be tempted to think about proper sizing. While I would normally have ordered the 50mm size, which is listed on the site as 1.75" in height by 1.91" in width (so on average would be quite close to my “goldilocks” 1.875" size), I knew that my anatomy also wants me to size down just a bit for curved adornments. I instead went with the 47.5 which is listed on the site as 1.67" in height by 1.82" in width. My measurements of the adornment were 1.67" x 1.81" which is spot on. I bring up the sizing and practical example to encourage you not to overthink ordering. Think about it: If you are normally a 47.5mm (1.875") cock ring wearer, just buy that size because the raw dimensions are deceiving from the curve. This is why my 47.5 order measures like a 45, but fits like a 47.5. In other words, Jelle has enough experience to know how to adjust the listed sizes so you don’t end up ordering the wrong size by mistake. This is clever because most shops would simply list a singular raw dimension and if it doesn’t suit you, well… you should’ve known better. Jelle clearly knows his stuff.
Impression-wise, this ring is fantastic. I am especially interested in wearing it out some to learn more about how the “tail” helps or hinders pinching in my jeans. I have no doubt that it will be a benefit given how smart the rest of the adornment’s features are. This ring is quite fantastic, so if you’re hesitating to pick up a Velv’Or, stop. Just go order it!
